CASIT – Risk Areas of gates
The Machinery Directive (98/37 / CE and EN 12453 - EN 12445) referred to the openings automated reports and identifies several areas which are defined as mechanical hazards, due to the motion of the closure. These change according to the type of opening / closing.
Gate sliding or swing
Mechanical hazards:
- impact
- crushing
- conveying and shearing
- cutting
- hooking
- structural and wear
Solutions:
- Check and audit of the strength of the supporting structure, of the fixing elements of the motor / actuator and of the sliding elements
- verification of the mechanical stops in opening and closing
- the absence of thresholds or minimal reduction of the same (less than 5 mm)
- adjust the closing force of the engine
- installation photocells external and internal installation of a pneumatic point guard sensitive rack and pinion
Electrical hazards:
- direct or indirect contact
- electromagnetic compatibility
Solutions:
- use of parts and accessories CE marked
- execution of the connections / wiring in accordance with the Standards
